Ben Dingson Lim
Ben was born and raised in Toyshan, China. In 1948 he emigrated to Vancouver, Canada where he attended King George High School and worked part-time. Ben moved to Winnipeg in 1952. He established the first Chinese food take-out restaurant in 1954 - Chinese Food Delivery Service - which is still in operation to this day.
In 1957 he married Lee, Bick Wah(Helen) in Hong Kong. Together they ran the restaurant and raised a family. In his retirement, Ben and Helen travelled extensively and spent time with their grandchildren.
Ben is survived by his wife Helen, and his children Susan(Raymond), Victor(Lily), Diane(Brian), and David(Mary). He also leaves behind his four loving grandchildren - Stephen, Jennifer, Elena, and Ryan
