Obituary for Byron Allister St. Hilaire

Byron "Brian" St. Hilaire, aged 62 years passed away at St.Boniface Hospital on Friday, February 4, 2022, with his devoted wife and family by his side.

He was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago on July 14, 1959. He was predeceased by his parents, Allister & Marjorie St. Hilaire.

He was a very kind-hearted, loving, and determined individual. No matter what the challenge or request, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others.

Brian was a fantastic father, a great husband, and a dear friend to many. He devoted his time to his family and the things that he loved such as sports, music, and cooking. Brian was the talented chef for B&D's Canadian Caribbean Cusine, which he owned with his wife, Dawn. Those who were lucky enough to try his cooking, know just how much he will be missed in the kitchen.

He had a sense of humor that would light up any room he was in. No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something funny or crazy that Brian did while you were with him.

His charming smile and deep hearty laughter will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Dawn; children Shanita, Alyxia, Dezie, Darnell & Lena; grandchildren Zahara, Darius & Ashton; siblings Pam, Ken, Ingrid & Wayne, and nieces, nephews and friends.

We were all touched by his presence and we are better because of it. We now take comfort in knowing that he is at peace with his parents and other loved ones. Until we meet again.
