With broken hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Darrell, 59 years of age, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin.

Darrell is survived by his mom Merilyn Baldwinson; sister Glenda (Marlin), Curtis (Tanya) (Ava, Khaysen, Keyen and Kinzley), Kyla (Chris) (Emmy, Alaska, Dirk), Derreck (Rose) (Ella and Liam), and Dave; sister Tracey (Jordan (Morgan)); brother Dennis (Michelle) (Chase and Braden); step-sister Colleen, Clinton (Amanda), Cheyenne (Armane); step-brother Lorne; Uncle Curtis Grimolfson; Aunty Christine; Uncles Robert and Halli Eastman and many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his stepdad Neil Baldwinson; father Herbert Eastman; two stepsisters Correen and Leslee Baldwinson; also, his grandparents Afi Grimsi and Grandma Dolly Grimolfson and Afi Halli and Amma Una Eastman; uncles Ivan and Dennis (Betty) Grimolfson and his Aunty Solly Thorsteinson (Olafur) and his cousin and best bud Darren Grimolfson.

Darrell was a kind, loving, generous, honest, and giving person who would give his last dime to help others. He always put everyone first. He was a gourmet cook. He could whip up a meal for the whole family in a heartbeat. Sometimes with the help of a little Grand Marnier.
He loved his Mom’s homemade brown bread so he bought her a bread machine. Home cooking was his favourite. He loved music and would spend hours listening to music and watching movies. He loved his family and especially loved being with his Afi Grimsi who was his idol. Afi would take him all over with him and his uncle Curtis.

Darrell loved to play hockey in his younger days. Hockey and Baseball. Always some game going on at the arena and he would be there.

Darrell worked for many years with engineering companies. The latest being Morrison Hershfield. He loved his job and his co-workers and loved the coffee breaks with the guys.

“My Life on earth has truly passed.
I’ve loved you all to the very last
Weep not for me, but courage take
and love one another for my sake”

“Elskan, you are so loved forever. I will be with you very soon.”
