Obituary for Glenn George Conley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Glenn Conley at his home in Winnipeg.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, George and Emma Conley. He leaves to mourn and will be sadly missed by his cousins, goddaughter, and close friends whom he loved dearly.

Glenn grew up on Stella Avenue in Winnipeg. He attended King Edward School, Sisler High School and graduated from the University of Winnipeg as well as the University of Manitoba.

In his early years, Glenn’s love for photography led him to work at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital and at the International Grains Commission. He then went on to pursue his career as a geologist for the Province of Manitoba.

Glenn loved celebrating holidays with family. He really enjoyed cooking and woodworking. Camping in the mountains, watching movies, reading, working on his computer, listening to music and visiting Fort Whyte Alive Sanctuary, brought him peace and enjoyment.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Mayba, CancerCare Manitoba and Home Care staff for their support, amazing kindness and compassion shown to Glenn.

What a Wonderful World!
“May God grant you always.....
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you,
Laughter to cheer you,
Faithful family and friends near you,
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.”

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of your choice.
