Obituary for Guy Kenneth Bellingham

It was an honor and a privilege for the family of Guy Bellingham to escort him home to the place
that God had prepared for him.

Guy was born on December 2, 1932 to Norah Bellingham and departed this Earth on July 16, 2020.

Guy is survived by his sister Shirley (Alan), his children Cam (Audrey), Dale (Alan & Nick), Tracey (Tim), 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his sister in-law Grace..

He was predeceased by his loving wife Carol in 2001,his brother Wayne, and by his grandson Sean.

Guy was employed for many years with the Winnipeg Post Office where he was well respected for his quiet demeanor and strong work ethic.

Guy enjoyed camping, golf, watching movies, ball room dancing and traveling, first with his wife Carol and then with his special friend Hazel Birt.

In his young days Guy was a star track and field athlete and won many awards for his running. He continued to run his life’s race with integrity, humbleness and perseverance. Guy showed his family and all those that met him how to be a true gentleman and to show love and grace in any circumstance. Dad never said an unkind word about anyone. Now at the finish line we can all take comfort that Dad has gone to see his Lord and Saviour who would definitely say well done my good and faithful servant.

We would like to express our gratitude to all of Dad’s home care workers for their excellent care given to Dad over the last few years and to the staff on Unit North N1 at Concordia Hospital for these last few weeks.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at New Life Sanctuary Church, 618 Muriel Street, Winnipeg.

If friends so desire, a contribution to Cancer Care Manitoba may be made in Guy’s name at 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. R3E 0V9.
