It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Henry Chestnut on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at his home at Blake Gardens.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Edith, Henry leaves to mourn his daughter Stephanie, son Christian, as well as his two grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew.
Henry was born on September 27, 1955 and was the only child to Thomas and Edith Chestnut. Henry was always a hard worker. From working with Bronco Cartage Enterprises as a truck driver/warehouse man in the 80's, to his last employment as a janitor at the Travelodge WPG East and various jobs in between.
In Henry's spare time, he was a league bowler in the late 80's to early 2000, snatching up trophies every time, in either five pin or ten pin.
His hobbies consisted of collecting collectable specialty cars.
Henry knew how to fill a room with laughter and smiles everywhere he went. A dedicated father, grandfather and friend, he will surely be missed by all that knew him.
We will be having his funeral service at Neil Bardal Funeral Center at a later date and time.
Donations can be made at the Winnipeg pet rescue shelter.
