Jacquie passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2021. Born in Fort William, Ontario November 14, 1926, she was a graduate of the University of Toronto (Pharmacy) and the University of Saskatchewan (Science). Jacquie owned and operated Professional Pharmacy in Dryden ON.

Music, travel and reading were her passions. Jacquie visited every continent except Antarctica. An avid concert-goer in Winnipeg, she also attended opera, symphony and chamber performances in Toronto, Banff, Minneapolis, Santa Fe, New York, Paris, London, Berlin, Vienna, Salzburg and Prague.

Jacquie had a wide circle of friends through membership in the Women’s Committee of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Afternoon Book Club and the Unitarian Church.

She was a kind, thoughtful and caring person. Because of her integrity and generous spirit, Jacquie left our world a better place.

Predeceased by her husband Newton, her parents Jean and Edgar Lindey, brother Robert and nephew Murray Lindey, she is survived by cousins David Skea (June) and Dr. Gerald Skea (Marlene) of Thunder Bay, ON, Kenneth Lindey (Joan) of Vineland, ON and nephews Rob Lindey (Anthony) of Winnipeg and Brad Lindey of Duncan BC.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra or the endowment fund of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg, 603 Wellington Crescent.

Cremation has taken place. Due to the Covid pandemic, a celebration of Jacquie’s life will be planned once it is safe for us to gather again.
