Obituary for James Taylor Wood

Jim Wood

Jim loved life. He embraced it wholeheartedly, forming connections wherever he went - at work, on the golf course, the curling rink, church, while traveling, or at the lake. Renowned for his humor, he was always quick with a joke. He brought the 'fun' to all functions.

His days were filled with commitments to his profession, his church, and his involvement in the Masons. He actively participated on boards and received accolades and awards for his exemplary and strong work ethic.

During his leisure time, Jim enjoyed curling, golfing, traveling, and cherished moments at his trailer in Spruce Sands. Gathered around the campfire, he delighted in the company of loved ones, often engaging in singalongs.

Jim and Olof embarked on numerous journeys, including a memorable trip in 2014 when all five children accompanied them to the Dominican Republic. This vacation held special significance, as it marked the first time since a 1972 trip to the East Coast that the entire family was able to vacation together.

Married for nearly 68 years, Jim and Olof truly lived a shared life of love and adventure.
