Obituary for Kathleen Aldis Thorsteinson

Kathleen Aldis was born on February 6th, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Donald and Frances Thorsteinson. She was raised in Winnipeg and Victoria, BC and worked most of her career at the Health Sciences Centre. On November 16th, 1990 Kathleen married Paul Bergsagel and they enjoyed almost 30 years together.

Kathleen died at St Boniface Hospital on September 19th, 2020, after many years of declining health. She is survived by her husband Paul, sisters Margaret Thompson/Donovan and Ellen Bennett; Paul’s siblings, Karin Bergsagel-Isgur, John Bergsagel and Leif Bergsagel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held on September 24th, 2020 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, with burial at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg. A video streaming of the event is available on Kathleen’s obituary page that can be found at:
