Obituary for Lodewijic Savelsbergh

LODEWIJK (LOU) SAVELSBERGH

It is with great sadness that Lodewijk (Lou) Jozef Elisabeth Hubertus Savelsbergh passed away in his home with his wife by his side on November 2, 2022.

Lou was born on November 8, 1931 to parents Lodewijk HJV and Maria Anna Savelsbergh in Heerlen, Limburg, Netherlands.

Growing up, he became a soccer player with friends for the Juliana/Roda Football Club. He then trained to become a professional auto mechanic. With these skills, Lou came to Canada in 1969 with his little family, Lucienne and Victor.

He worked many years at Pembina Dodge Chrysler until his mechanical retirement. He was also a trainor/coach for a local soccer community club for the same amount of years.

Lou is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Magdelena, son Victor, granddaughters; Michelle and Alysha; his sister Riet, many nieces, nephews, in laws and friends.

All of us wish him eternal peace with the Almighty and family he is with now.

God bless, miss you so much Pap! Hup Holland.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 16, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 168 Worth Street at 10:00 am.
