Obituary for Marie Anne Marie Angele Thibert

MarieAnne Marie Angele Gabrielle was born December 13, 1945, she was one of 16 children, growing up in Augbigny, Manitoba. With being the oldest girl growing up she helped raise her younger siblings on the farm.

MarieAnne worked at the University of Manitoba since she was in her early 20’s, where she met Ray Thibert in 1965 and married June3, 1967. Mom had great pride in her work either cooking or cleaning or whatever she was doing.

MarieAnne had 4 beautiful children. Noella, Mark, Yvette and Edward. We all lived in a 3-bedroom housing unit on Newdale Avenue, where she raised all four kids.

She was always there if you needed anything and go out of her way, she would even give the shirt off her back if someone was hungry mom would feed them and not worry or bat an eye.
She would even encourage family and friends to take pride in themselves be confident in who you are, stand tall and be who you wanted to be. She was a kindhearted and loving person. But then she could be a strict person only trying to help move you in the right direction. Mom retired at 55 years young.

Mom enjoyed playing cards, could stay up all night long, going camping, baking. She loved to teach her 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as anyone else she came into contact with to bake. Mom had so much patience and would let her grandchildren do all kinds of
decorating they wanted. She never gave up in life. She fought to the bitter end.
