Obituary for Mark Robert Corder

It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Mark by heart attack.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Myrna and Rae, brother Ryan, sister Erika (Dan) and nephews and niece Reese, Riley and Keira. He is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mark spent his childhood in Brandon and as a little boy could always be found playing with his Hot Wheels, LEGO and building things. He lived in a newer development and hours would be spent with his brother and sister riding their bikes and exploring. Family vacations were spent camping at the lake and spending time at his grandparents in Hadashville. His love for heavy metal bands continued to present day and he attended many concerts whenever his bands toured through town.

Mark spent his adult life in St James. He attended Westwood Collegiate and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg. He spent many years working for Anderson Orthopedics and more recently at Cavalier Candies in the Exchange. He loved caring for animals his whole life and his 2 cats Luna and Mia will now live with Mark’s niece and nephews. He would be happy that the cats have gone to a loud and lively house.

We were proud of how Mark continued day by day to build upon his successes. Change takes great strength.

The family wishes to thank his coworkers for quickly reacting, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedics Service and the staff of the St Boniface Hospital Acute Cardiac Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit for their compassion shown to Mark and the family during that difficult time.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
