Obituary for Peter Peters
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend Peter Peters on March 15, 2020 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 87.
Peter was born in Stanley Municipality, Manitoba and grew up in Gretna, Manitoba. He was the eldest of 13 children and was pre-deceased by his parents Helena and Wilhelm, brothers Bill, David, Bob and sister Betty.
Peter is survived by his wife Kathy of 66 years, son Robert (Virginia), Joyce (Walter), Cindy (Glen), Raymond (Kim), Susan (Garnet). Grandchildren Mark (Carlie), Jackie (Scott), Tina (Frank), Chrissy, Lorne, Lesley (Dylan), Amanda (Lloyd), Hailey. Great grandchildren Ryker, Ali and Jacob.
Peter and Kathy were married on November 22, 1953 in MacGregor, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where Dad worked for Prairie Produce Ltd. as Plant Manager for 40 years until his retirement in 1995.
Dad loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends and doing the things he enjoyed, such as fishing, camping, golfing, playing music, watching the Jets, woodworking, gardening and a good cup of coffee with a piece of pie.
We would like to thank all of Dad’s healthcare providers over the years with all of his health challenges and a special thanks to Dr. Paul Kerr, Dr. Martha Ainslie, and the most recently the Manitoba Home Nutrition Program staff.
Given the current Clovid-19 pandemic restrictions, a private memorial service has taken place.
