Obituary for Robert Young
Peacefully on May 8th, 2020 Robert Young passed away at the age of 78, with Dads love of his life Diana by his side. Left to cherish his memories wife Diana, Daughters Terry, Carol, Linda and Sandra, 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, Brother Jim(Kathy) Sister Jennie(Bill), Nieces and Nephews.
Dads journey started when he married his love of his life Diana for 55 Yrs and had us 4 girls. Raised us in the northern part of B.C where he found his passion working in a lumber mill grading lumber, Dads passion for lumber grading was over 40 yrs plus experience. He loved wood and enjoyed building and making many things with wood. Dad was a friendly person, made friends where ever he went. Moved from B.C to Manitoba where he helped and started small remanufacturing lumber mills where he taught many people his passion and skill to lumber grade. After retiring from lumber grading and living in Riverton MB, where dad had many hobbies, building bee hives, making planters, building decks, hunting, playing pool with all of his friends, spending time with family and friends, potlucks and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
We would like to thank Pastor Menno Friesen and his wife Barbara for their love and support for our family.. And for Dads last prayer of his last moments of life for giving Dad a peaceful passage into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We would also like to give thanks to Gimli Hospital and all staff for their Support and Compassion for our father during these difficult times.
We also like to give thanks to Neil Bardal Funeral Home, for all their support in our time of sorrow.
