On Monday, February 22, 2021, Sandra Gagne, known to friends and family as Sandy or Saush, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. At the age of 82 years, she led a full and happy life. Sandra will will be forever cherished by her son Chris (Jin), her Brother Peter (Diane), her nephew Dean (Terra) and niece Breena. She will also be forever remembered by her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and her dear friends.

Born in Winnipeg on March 3, 1938 to Peter and Mary Kesanko. She grew up in the North End and graduated from St John's High School. She went on to work at Eaton's, Grinnell and the Municipal Hospitals before becoming a work at home mother. Doting on her only son and her loving husband Jack.

Introduced by her mother, Jack and Sandra married in 1962. In 1967 the happy couple moved to the Riverview area, where they would live the rest of their lives. Sandra loved the neighbourhood and made many lasting friendships in the community over the years. Then in 1969 they welcomed their son Christopher into their lives.

An avid dog-lover, pampering them with love and treats. In turn they idolized her with affection and brought her much joy.

Sandra loved summers at her cottage in Ponemah, creating fond memories with her family and friends. Sitting in a beach chair with her feet in the water, drink in hand, was how she could be found most summer days.
She loved to travel. Cruises in the Caribbean, numerous trips to Las Vegas with Jack and family vacations to Hawaii, BC & California. A couple of years ago she ventured on her last trip abroad with her children Chris & Jin, to Las Vegas to see the Strip one last time.

She had so much love to share and all who knew her felt blessed. Sandra Gagne will be forever remembered and loved.

A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be held at a later date.
