Obituary

Obituary for Sharon Lee Noordman

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Lee Noordman (Reykdal) at Gimli Hospital on May 3, 2020.

Sharon is survived by her husband Jan, son Nathan, daughter in law Sethe, Mother Jean Reykdal, sisters Beverly (John), Crystal (Lyndon), Terina (Ken), and brothers Calvin (Bev) and Clayton (Laurie) and may special nieces and nephews.

Sharon touched many hearts in her path but two that were very dear to her were her great friend Billie and her special little friend Grai. Sharon was predeceased by her father Chris Reykdal , as well as her mother & father in law, Corrie and Henk Noordman.

Sharon was born in Gimli to parents Chris and Jean Reykdal on May 28, 1952. After attending high school in Gimli, Sharon ventured to Winnipeg to work at Peoples Credit Jeweler’s, then on to Alberta where she worked for the Province of Alberta. She then returned to Manitoba where she met and married Jan. A few years later Nathan, her pride and joy, was born.

Sharon was a kind and generous person who was full of life and provided many laughs with her wit and sarcasm. She will definitely be missed and always remembered.

Cremation has taken place and due to current restrictions, there will be no service at this time.

Dear Terina and family,
I didn't know Sharon but she was the nicest person when I was shopping at Park Place , always pleasant and cheerful with a smile on her face and she always looked so beautiful . I lost my sister a few years ago so I know the loss is profound. Ken and I are sending condolences to you and all of your family at this difficult time . Please know we are thinking of you . Our deepest sympathy to the family. Sharon was always warm and welcoming. She was our first visitor at the beach, introduced herself with a tray of refreshments. She was a very warm, friendly, generous individual with a witty personality, the life at any gathering! She will be missed. Sincerely George and Chris.
