Obituary for Stephanie Joanne Elsasser
STEPHANIE JOANNE ELSASSER
(nee HALAIKO)
May 30, 1936 - May 11, 2022
Peacefully, with her family by her side, our Mother and Grandmother passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Fred Douglas Lodge.
Forever loved, she leaves to mourn her three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Pam, Wayne and Cindy, and Ronald Jr.; her grandsons, Shawn (Kathryn) and Scott; nephews and nieces from near and far.
Stephanie was predeceased by her husband Ronald of 55 years in 2010. Also, her brother Stanley, and parents, Ludwig and Maria Halaiko; sister-in-law Lucy, brother-in-law Harold, and her husband's parents, Frederick and Mary Elsasser.
Mom enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family. She also had a very big heart when it came to animals, especially her beloved cats. She had a wry sense of humour and will be fondly remembered by her laugh.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their loving care of our Mom. You were her angels here on earth.
Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, if you so wish, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
