Obituary for Stephen Daniel Kostal

It is with great sorrow we have to announce the sudden passing of our loved father, son, uncle, and wonderful friend, Stephen Daniel Kostal on December 27th, 2020 at the age of 50. Stephen will be dearly missed by his two daughters Kierra and Jenissa, his parents Jim and Evelyn Kostal of Darlingford, Mb., his brothers Wayne and Brian (Trinda) as well as nieces and nephews, Kevin (Natasha), Mike, Chelsea, Courtney and Chase.

Stephen grew up in Darlingford where he attended school and graduated from Nellie McClung Collegiate in Manitou, Mb. After highschool he went on to further his education and became a Journeyman Electrician. He had a successful career and was a loyal employee with G. Mallin Electric for an outstanding 32 years.

As dedicated as he was to his work, Stephen was even more devoted to his family, friends and hobbies. He coached his daughters’ ringette teams for 10 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing, but his greatest passion was always hunting. From the time whitetail season closed he was already planning and dreaming of his next hunting season. His love for guns made him so many friends and acquaintances through buying, selling, trading, and refinishing them over the years.

There was a lot to Stephen, but not enough time for us to learn all he had to teach. We will all hold a place in our hearts for him forever. He will be missed dearly.
