It was with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William G. Hume, our beloved “Uncle Bill”. Bill left us the morning of Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his father Ernest, mother Olive, and his sister Mary Hume.
Friends and family are invited to attend Bill’s funeral service on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:30 am at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 95 Keewatin St, Winnipeg, MB. A light lunch will be served immediately following the service. An interment ceremony will take place at 1:30 pm at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave, Winnipeg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bill’s name to any of the following organizations: Winnipeg Humane Society, The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters: Canada and Bermuda, and Calvin Presbyterian Church.
He will be forever remembered for his kind-hearted spirit, love of storytelling and for the countless lives he touched during his time with us. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his memory and legacy continue to be a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing him.
